The history of Inghams. Inghams was founded by Walter Ingham in 1934, and has now been running for over 85 years, hosting holidays that all celebrate our love for the great outdoors - specialising in skiing holidays, walking holidays and holidays to Lapland.

The company was founded in 1918 when Walter Ingham Sr. purchased 42 acres (170,000 m²) of bush land in Casula as a gift to 18-year-old son, Walter Ingham. Walter Jr. embarked on a fruit and vegetable farming venture, eventually moving into the poultry business.

In 2013, Inghams Enterprises was sold to private equity company TPG Capital.

Ingham, town, northeastern Queensland, Australia, 19 miles (31 km) upstream from the mouth of the Herbert River. Founded in 1864, it was gazetted a shire in 1879.

An 1829 act of the Territorial Legislature created Ingham County. Called a "cabinet county," it bears the name of Samuel D. Ingham, who was Secretary of the Treasury under President Jackson at the time. The area was a forest wilderness filled with wide tamarack marshes, and was sparsely populated.
